We require clear and safe access to the site, with stairs installed and our work area cleaned out and ready for us to commence. If this is not done, additional charges will be incurred. Valkyrie Floor Coatings does not move furniture, appliances, or any internal fixtures or fittings under any circumstances. It is the client’s sole responsibility to ensure all necessary items are removed or suitably covered before work begins. Valkyrie Floor Coatings accepts no liability for damages to items, furnishings, or any other property unrelated to the scope of work provided.

The client acknowledges and agrees that the following services will be supplied free of charge to the company: power - 15 A / 240 V electrical power fitted with R.C.D. within 25 meters of any area where work is to be conducted; fully operational lighting as designed for the completed project; a dry, moisture-free storage area for equipment and materials; toilet facilities for employees. Unauthorized individuals are not permitted in the work area for safety reasons. Our employees will enforce Occupational Health & Safety regulations and may request individuals to leave if they pose a risk.

All gas and electrical appliances that require movement must be relocated by qualified personnel only. All pilot lights must be turned off before work begins.

The client must ensure all furnishings, light fittings, curtains, and other items are adequately covered to prevent dust contamination. Valkyrie Floor Coatings is not liable for damage to items that are not covered or protected.

Removal of deep cuts, gouges, and stains from flooring may not always be possible. While we will use due care and skill, results are subject to the condition of the flooring.

Filling gaps between boards is not included, as timber shrinkage and expansion can cause filler to crack or damage the flooring.

Timber is a natural product, and variations in colour, grain, and grading are expected. Samples and photographs are indicative only and do not guarantee exact matches. Variations of colour within a timber species are normal; therefore, photographs or samples can only provide an indication of the colour range.

Concrete and stone are natural materials, and variations in texture, colour, and appearance are inherent characteristics. Each surface is unique, and samples or photographs are indicative only. Natural materials may develop patina or slight changes over time, which should be considered part of their beauty and not a defect.

Any work carried out outside Valkyrie Floor Coatings’ preferred methods will be done on an all-care, no-responsibility basis and against our recommendations.

Valkyrie Floor Coatings is committed to delivering quality workmanship. If insufficient time is allocated for the completion of works, we cannot guarantee the quality of our service. Delays caused by interruptions or external factors may result in a revised timeline and additional charges.

Payment is due according to the agreed schedule. All payments must be made in full without retention. Late payments will incur a 10% interest fee of the original amount, followed by an additional 5% interest fee every 20 business days overdue. Legal fees and collection costs incurred due to non-payment will be recoverable from the client.

Valkyrie Floor Coatings complies with Australian Consumer Law, which guarantees that services will be provided with due care and skill, and that goods supplied will be of acceptable quality. While the performance of coatings depends heavily on factors beyond our control—such as site conditions, proper maintenance, and usage—we ensure our services meet industry standards. We do not provide additional warranties beyond those required by law. Clients must adhere to maintenance guidelines to ensure the longevity of the coating. Manufacturer warranties for products used will apply where applicable.

We will not, in any event, be liable under or in connection with any warranty for any claim for consequential loss, loss of opportunity, revenue, profit or anticipated profit, accommodation costs, pet boarding kennel costs, removal or storage of furniture, or legal fees arising in contract, negligence, or otherwise. We offer no warranty against any unforeseen circumstances out of our direct control. We recognize no claims where, for any reason, the job is not paid for in full and the work has been completed as quoted. We offer no direct guarantee for the products we use as these are covered under the manufacturer’s warranties.

We hold the right to take photos and videos of the finished work by Valkyrie Floor Coatings and use recorded media to support reports, promotions, and advertisements in both printed and digital form. Parts of the interior design might be included in the recording of the media unless expressly prohibited in writing by the client.

When working on any materials supplied and installed by others, we guarantee the quality of our workmanship but do not guarantee the condition or performance of the existing materials.

Cancellations before the commencement of works will incur a non-refundable 5% booking fee.

All quotes are valid for 60 days from the date of issue.

By signing and/or agreeing to the quotation, the client confirms their acceptance of these terms and conditions.
